University OB/GYN Associates

University OB-GYN will offer general gynecology, preventative gynecologic care, gynecologic surgery, contraceptive management,treatment for menstrual disorders and adolescent/pediatric gynecology.


Alessia Field, MD

Dr. Alessia Field graduated medical school, magnum cum lade from St. George’s University, Grenada in 2020. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical in 2024 and subsequently joined the Department of OB/GYN at SUNY Upstate Medical University as a Clinical Assistant Professor.  Her clinical interests include: minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, family planning, and health equity. 


Katherine Frega, MD

Dr. Katherine Frega is the true definition of “serving the community that raised you”. A native of Upstate New York, Dr. Frega graduated summa cum lade from Syracuse University in 2016 and earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2020. She has served as a Captain for the US Army Reserve since 2021 and was appointed to the SUNY Upstate Department of Ob/Gyn as a Clinical Assistant Professor after completing residency in 2024. Throughout every level of education, Dr. Frega has exhibited a profound passion for teaching others and has been recognized with several awards for her exceptional impact on medical students. Her enthusiastic attitude towards medical education will be on display as she serves as the Ob/Gyn Associate Clerkship Director. Dr. Frega’s clinical interests include minimally invasive GYN surgery, infertility, and pediatric/adolescent GYN. As a pediatric cancer survivor, she is passionate about onco-fertility and fertility preservation access for cancer patients and survivors. She is a legislative advocate for Resolve- the National Infertility Association and the Alliance for Fertility Preservation. Dr. Frega also enjoys caring for military members, veterans, and their families.


Nabiha Morin, MD

Dr. Nabiha Morin is a full spectrum OB/GYN Generalist originally from Rochester, NY. Dr. Morin joined SUNY Upstate Medical University in April 2026 after practicing at a community hospital in Elmira, NY for 3 years. Dr. Morin received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from the University at Buffalo in 2015 and subsequently obtained her Medical Degree from Jacobs School of Medicine, University at Buffalo in 2019. She completed her residency training in 2023 at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital, in Akron ,OH. Dr. Morin’s clinical interests include full spectrum women's health and meeting needs for underserved populations.
